Man commits suicide at St Ann’s Bay Hospital
ST ANN, Jamaica — A mechanic from Retreat in Claremont, St Ann is suspected to have committed suicide on the compound of the St Ann’s Bay Hospital yesterday, the police are reporting.
He has been identified as 53-year-old Lenworth Smith.
Reports are that residents stumbled on Smith’s body about 2:30 pm with marks around the neck under a tree on the hospital’s compound.
A belt was also reportedly seen hanging from one of the tree branches as well, the police said.
An investigation has since been launched into his death, the police added.
