Chuck Fenda said he is intent on bringing back the positivity in the nation. He is banking on his latest single Gideon Hot, released on March 8.

“When the fire burning in the music, we bring back the righteousness and consciousness. If God law not in the midst, then there will be more senseless killings and raping. Gideon Hot is here to correct that with a positive message to disrupt the negative that is happening right now,” said the singjay.

“The song came as a natural inspiration from Jah. The message is clear that we are drifting from righteousness and we need to return to reality, I-Octane was the furthest thing from my mind,” Chuck Fenda continued.

The single, available on all digital platforms, is produced by Fire Wayne for Echo One Productions. A video is in the works.

Chuck Fenda said he is pleased with the reception, so far.

“I’m surprised by the amount of airplay it has been getting, so it will be the title track of my album set for later this year,” he told the Jamaica Observer.

Chuck Fenda (real name Leshorn Whitehead) is known for hits such as A ll About the Weed, Gwaan Plant, and Gash Dem.

The singjay is set to visit Haiti to headline the five-day festival, Spring Fest, in a few days. He is also gearing up to return to the United States for appearances in the Midwest next month.
