Section of Sligoville main road collapses
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A section of the Sligoville main road in St Catherine has collapsed, resulting in the roadway being reduced to single lane traffic.
The police, in an advisory this evening, said the breakaway is about one mile from the Sligoville Post Office and will affect motorists heading towards Bog Walk.
The roadway can only accommodate small vehicles, the police said.
Drivers of larger units are being asked to use the Bog Walk Gorge as an alternative route.
It is uncertain at this time what caused the collapse.
