Jada to lead Sweet Escape
Jada Kingdom is expected to add flavour to the third staging of Sweet Escape Breakfast Party. The event is set to unfold on Easter Sunday, April 21 at the Chill Spot in Golden Grove, St Ann.
The singer is aiming to please with her hit song, including Banana, Wull On, and Best You Ever Had.
Lamar Campbell, promoter of the event, explained the idea behind the concept.
“Sweet Escape is the first event of its kind to have been held in the parish that is promoted by a St Ann promoter. I noticed that persons outside of the parish were promoting the other breakfast parties. I also wanted to bring a different vibe to patrons and to highlight the home of Sweet Escape, which is the rural community in the hills called Golden Grove,” Campbell told the Jamaica Observer.
Sweet Escape was first held on Easter Sunday last year. The second staging took place last October.
Campbell spoke about the event’s growth.
“Each of the previous stagings were successful. The party has grown tremendously and our last one exceeded our expectations. The anticipation for the upcoming event is high and we are expecting a huge turnout,” he said.
He shared what patrons are to expect on Easter Monday.
“Patrons can expect “a sweet escape”; an escape from the usual, an escape from the nightlife! Imagine having breakfast (of a wide range of Jamaican cuisine) while the sun rises with your friends with good music and a great ambience,” he said.
Aside from Jada Kingdom’s performance, patrons can expect high-energy music from a lineup of disc jocks and selectors, including ZJ Johnny Kool, Bad X Da Boss and St Ann-based sound system Exclusive Sound.
