Lilliput Rovers look to extend lead in St James Sandals Major League
SPOT VALLEY, St James — Lilliput Rovers, the leaders in Zone One of the St James Football Association Sandals Resorts International Major League, could open up a seven-point lead over the group with a win over last-placed and winless Seba FC when they meet in a return-round game at Spot Valley High today.
Lilliput Rovers, who are almost certain to secure a semi-final spot soon, lead with 18 points — four more than Irwin FC with Violet Kickers in third place on 12, and Seba FC in last place on three points.
The leaders had won the first game 1-0 and will start favourites to win today.
Also this afternoon, Bogue FC will seek to end a three-game winless run when they face Marl Road FC, who they had beaten 2-0 in the first round.
Bogue FC have lost their last three games by a combined 10-2 aggregate, including giving up a first-half lead and losing 1-6 to Cambridge FC last week.
