Vows – Everlasting Love
A simple conversation at the Franklin Town New Testament Church of God youth choir banquet developed into friendship, courtship, then as fate would have it, marriage. Eltham High School music teacher Everet Bucknor proposed to Stefanie Bent, Payless ShoeSource store manager, on the eve of her birthday, November 23, 2017, at a surprise birthday party in the presence of close friends and family. Vows takes you to the altar.
The ceremony
Witnessed by immediate family members and friends, the couple exchanged vows, guided by Reverend Mark S McLean at Pollyanna Caterers on Saturday, October 20, 2018. The team from Pollyanna Caterers used shades of fuchsia and lime green to enhance the space.
Stefanie was escorted up the aisle by her father Patrick Bent to Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years. She made a statement in a sweetheart satin ball gown with layers of tulle and lace from Beauty Prom Bridal Wedding Dress, while her bridegroom made his in a suave in a three-piece silk grey suit.
The reception
The reception also took place at the Pollyanna Caterers inside the ballroom where shades of fuchsia and lime green were the dominant hues. Formalities were handled by Sandrina Davis, who kept spirits high ahead of the arrival of the newly-weds, making their entrance to Marry You by Bruno Mars. This was followed by the couple’s first dance as husband and wife to John Legend’s All Of Me. Post-formalities, guests enjoyed a sumptuous three-course meal and witnessed the cutting of the fruitcake by Odane Brown. It was truly an occasion to remember.
