LONDON, England (CMC) – West Indies captain Jason Holder signed off on his stint for Northamptonshire with another classy knock, but it came yet again in the losing cause, as the hosts went down to Yorkshire by five wickets under Duckworth-Lewis in the One-Day Cup here yesterday.

Opting for first knock at Wantage Road, Northants piled up an imposing 351 all out off 49.3 overs, with South African opener Ricardo Vasconcelos stroking a top score of 112 off 97 balls to mark his first List A hundred.

He posted 118 for the first wicket with fellow countryman Richard Levi (58) and also added 114 for the second wicket with Josh Cobb (58), partnerships which propelled the hosts to a strong position of 232 for one in the 35th over.

Wicketkeeper Adam Rossington chipped in with an unbeaten 45 from 25 balls while Holder carved out 36 off 34 deliveries to sustain his form with the bat.

In his final match before linking up with the West Indies side which arrived in Dublin on Wednesday for the Tri-Nations Series involving Ireland and Bangladesh, Holder punched four fours and a six before falling in the 43rd over.

The 27-year-old all-rounder finished with 284 runs from five outings, at an average of 71 with three half-centuries.

More importantly for West Indies, Holder seems to have recovered from the leg injury he picked up during his 72 against Lancashire last week, and which kept him out of the subsequent fixture against Worcestershire.

However, he did not bowl when Northants took the field as Yorkshire chased down a revised target of 175 off 25 overs, after rain intervened.

Opener Tom Kohler-Cadmore top-scored with 67 off 80 deliveries, adding 109 for the second wicket with Harry Brook who made 47 off 38 balls.
