A year ago An Elegant Affair principal Karen Clarke was asked to produce a glam session to prep feters for Carnival Road March. She approached it in the only way she knew how: attention to every detail! The feedback was overwhelming with non-stop encouragement to do another.

One year later Kaci’s Boss Beauties was birthed. Clarke, her daughter Chloe, and Miss Jamaica Universe 2014, blogger and entrepreneur Kaci Fennell-Shirley are all a part of the KBB experience that was unveiled at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel Sunday last.

Nothing was left to chance. Indeed, the trio thought of everything from wardrobe malfunctions to spacious changing rooms, and timely shuttle services to professional and world-class stylists or hairstylists and make-up artists. Sue Gregg, Trinbagonian Jacqueline Arneaud, and Jheanell Nesbeth formed the make-up team, while tresses were tousled by Babae Styles Salon hairstylist Carol Marshall and her trusty assistant Danesha Jones.

Gabriella’s Cosmetics provided make-up products in vibrant hues (think: paint pots, glitter shadows, bright lippies, and yes, lots of shimmery glosses). Boss beauties walked away with goodie boxes of make-up, samples of Fennell’s FenMade pepper sauce, a soca CD, and even Epsom Salts for an “after mas pamper sesh”. Under the Dryer was inside the luxe Pavillion for an up-close exclusive peek.
