KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s Reggae Girlz are to face a strong Panama team on Sunday, May 19 at the National Stadium in their final international friendly before the 2019 FIFA World Cup in France this summer.

The Jamaica Football Federation said Panama will be fielding its full starting 11 from the deciding game in the Concacaf World Cup Qualifying Round played on October 17, 2018 in Frisco, Texas, dispelling any expectation of a weakened team for the encounter.

Assistant Coach Andrew Price said “this is excellent as the coaching staff will get its wish for a highly competitive match against a strong opponent on home soil before leaving for the journey to France”. 

JFF said that of particular interest to fans will be then 17-year-old Goalkeeper, Yenith Bailey who received the Concacaf Golden Glove for the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament.

The encounter will be the send-off game for the Reggae Girlz, who are to play their opening Group C match against Brazil on June 9.

The Girlz are also slated to meet Italy (June 14), and Australia (June 18) during the group stage of the June 7 to July 7 World Cup tournament.
