Fish Pot Nets Portmore
The Sunshine City welcomed new resident Fish Pot Fry Fish Shop to Sovereign Village, Braeton, Portmore last Friday.
The well-apppointed location occupies 1,300 square feet, was built out at a cost of $40 million and brings the current list of branches to three.
Future plans, according to Roger Lyn, the company’s director of marketing and corporate affairs, include expansion into other parishes and across the Caribbean. “The Portmore community has embraced it. They [residents] have been asking for it for awhile. We expect this branch to do well,” Lyn said.
Fish Pot has, since the opening of its first location off Half-Way-Tree Road in 2012, introduced a wide range of freshly prepared, popular Jamaican seafood dishes, such as steam, brown-stewed and fried fish with side staples such as festivals, bammies, and French fries. Other popular menu options include sandwiches, salads and pastas, salt fish fritters and soups. The catch continues to be competitive prices. “All our prices across the board are affordable and we’ve tried hard to maintain those prices,” Lyn explained.
