St James FA Under-13 quarters on today
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Former champions John Rollins Success Primary and Barracks Road Primary will bow into action in the quarter-finals of the St James Football Association/Victoria Mutual Foundation Under-13 competition today with a double-header at UDC Field, starting at 10:00 am.
Success Primary, the 2017 champions, will face Salt Spring in a Group Four game set to start at 10:00 am, followed by Barracks Road against Green Pond in a Group Two game set to start at 11:15 am.
Success Primary had won Group F in the first round, and will face a Salt Spring team that also won their first-round group after Fredricka Finnikin created history by scoring five goals in one game, in their 8-0 win over Heinz Simonitsch Prep.
Barracks Road Primary, whose only hold on the title came in 1992, 27 years ago, were runners-up in their first-round group and will face the Group B winners Green Pond.
Defending champions Granville Primary and former winners Chetwood Primary won their opening quarter-final games on Friday when the round kicked off.
Granville were 1-0 winners over DMP Academy in their Group One game, while Chetwood were 2-1 winners over Lethe All-Age in their Group Three game.
