Doha 2019: Gaye 4th, Bloomfield 8th in men’s 400m
DOHA, Qatar — Jamaica failed to win a medal in the men’s 400 metre at 2019 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar.
Despite a personal best of 44.46 seconds, Demish Gaye crossed the finish line fourth, while teammate Akeem Bloomfield was eighth in 45.36s.

Bahamas won the world title in 43.48s. The silver medal went to Colombia’s Anthony Jose Zambrano (44.15s) and USA’s Fred Kerly took bronze in 44.17s.
