#Doha2019: Jamaica grab two more medals to remain third on the table
Jamaica won two more medals on day seven of the World Championships in Doha, Qatar on Thursday but remained third in the medals table behind the United States and China.
Jamaica gained a silver medal in the women’s discus through Danniel Thomas-Dodd and a bronze in the women’s 400 metres by Shericka Jackson to move the overall tally to six.
So far, Jamaica have won two gold, three silver and one bronze medal at the championships. They follow the United States of America with 18 medals that comprise of eight gold, eight silver and two bronze and China with nine medals, consisting of three gold, three silver and three bronze.
The USA failed to win a medal on Thursday while China’s Lijiao Gong won the women’s shot put gold ahead of Thomas-Dodd.
