The Jamaica Moves Campaign, in partnership with Safe Space JA (a mental health space provided where people can feel free to share their experiences and be able to interact with others who can offer them help and support) and the Indian High Commission, hosted the first of four “Yoga in the Park ” sessions.
With increased efforts to remove the stigma surrounding mental illness and promoting mental wellness, studies on the impact of yoga on mental health have been overwhelmingly encouraging.
Yoga has been recognised for helping to improve mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
The remaining sessions are: October 16th, October 23rd and October 30th.
BUZZ joined the participants for a zen session of yoga and share the highlights.
