Cavalier, Mount Pleasant draw 2-2 in RSPL
Mid-table teams Cavalier and Mount Pleasant
Football Academy battled to a 2-2 in their Red Stripe Premier League clash at
Stadium East in St Andrew on Monday.
Leonard Rankine opened the score for hosts Cavalier
in the 66th with Ronaldo Rodney equalising for Mount Pleasant six
minutes later. Francois Swaby scored a penalty in the 76th minute for
Mount Pleasant to take the lead, before Orlando Brown levelled the score again
in the 81st.
Cavalier moved up to eight points and sixth in the points standings with Mount Pleasant a point and two places behind.
Waterhouse is now at the top of the table, as they
defeated Arnett Gardens 3-1 on Sunday to overtake newcomers Molynes at the top.
Both Waterhouse and Molynes are on 19 points with
goal difference being the separating factor. They are followed by Harbour View
on 11 points, as Humble Lion and defending champions Portmore United are both
on 10 points with Humble Lion occupying fourth on goal difference.
