One of the most consistent horses running at any racing level at Caymanas Park is the Ian Parsard conditioned seven-year-old bay horse Superluminal.

The Natural Selection – Thousand Hills offspring has racked up four wins from 10 starts this season with earnings of over $2.2 million. His latest win was on Heroes’ Day (October 21) in the Fontainbleu Trophy over 7 1/2 furlongs (1,500m).

Superluminal next racing engagement is in the Diamond Mile on Saturday, November 9 at Caymanas Park. The Diamond Mile, sponsored by Supreme Ventures Limited and the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Association, carries a total purse of US$115,000 ($14 million).

“It looks like the Wayne DaCosta pair of She’s A Maneater and Stranger Danger will probably be the number one and number two in terms of favouritism and deservingly so.

“Again, for Superluminal, he has not transitioned his winning performances at Open Allowance to the Grade One level but he has done well for the year.

“ Superluminal has earned a spot and it is more than likely that he will be in the Diamond Mile,” Parsard told The Supreme Racing Guide.

At present no jockey has been officially assigned to ride Superluminal but word on the track is that Robert Halledeen might be the jockey to mount up.
