Man charged in Kingston West firearm seizure
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A man has been charged following the seizure of a Springfield 9mm pistol with a magazine containing sixteen 9mm rounds of ammunition on Third Street in Trench Town, Kingston 12 on Friday, November 1, the police have reported.
Charged is 24-year-old Nicholas Coke, otherwise called ‘Willed’, of the above mentioned address.
Reports from the Denham Town police are that a team of officers was conducting an operation in the area about 9:15 pm when Coke allegedly ran off upon seeing the police. He was subsequently accosted, searched and the firearm and ammunition found.
