Daley returned unopposed as president of St James FA
MONTEGO BAY, St James — Gregory Daley was on Monday night returned unopposed as president of the St James Football Association at their voting congress at Corinaldi Avenue Primary.
Daley will serve a new four-year term, along with his executives.
It will be Daley’s third term at the helm after he had defeated Steve Bucknor in his first election, and followed that up by beating another former president, Orville Powell, in 2016.
Five of the six members of the executive were nominated unopposed, while Gregory Palmer, a council member in the previous administration, beat Jeffrey Forbes 22-17 for the position of second vice-president.
Dennis Waite, who was the general secretary in the last executive, is the new first vice-president, replacing the veteran David Watt who did not seek re-election.
Richard Dennis of Bogue FC is the new general secretary.
Tracey Reid of Granville United is the new assistant general secretary and Gavin McNeil returned as the treasurer.
The five new council members voted in were Deon Stern-Anglin, Jeffrey Forbes, Diane Grey, Kevin Christie and Tyrone Gordon.
