Prime Minister Andrew Holness has met with members of the Jamaican Diaspora in Nairobi, Kenya.

“I have often said there’s hardly a country in the world where we cannot find a Jamaican,†Holness posted on Instagram.

The prime minister is in the country for the 9th African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) conference.

Members of the Jamaican Diaspora organized a brief representational display of traditional Maasai dance for the prime minister. After the performance, the Maasai warriors invited Holness to jump with them.

Holness said: “I was amazed at how high they could jump; I barely got off the ground. Back to the gym for me!â€

He said he was privileged to meet with and address the Jamaican Diaspora and that he was “very impressed with their turnout and talentâ€.

He said: “I gave an update on Jamaica and indicated that we are working hard to bring prosperity to all Jamaicans whether they’re at home or abroad.â€
