So says 22-year-old University of the West Indies, Mona alum Drezel-Deidra Simmonds, who recently launched Mila Mane, a line of 100% organic skin and haircare products.

When Simmonds did the big chop in 2017, she was excited to start her natural hair journey. But she encountered some challenges. “Finding quality organic products for my natural hair that would lead to growth and thickness was extremely difficult to find in Jamaica,” Simmonds told Tuesday Style Dryer (TSD).

After several hits and misses the then finance and economics student, who had been forced to learn how to style and protect her natural hair, got the idea to develop a line of products for maintaining a magnificent mane. Skincare products later joined the line-up and on March 9, Simmonds rolled out beauty products geared at making women feel confident from the crown of their heads to the soles of their feet.
