Spotlight on the Markets
Four months after the Jamaica Observer highlighted the deplorable state of the Papine market in St Andrew the situation has worsened, with raw sewage and other liquid waste running from inside the market on to John Golding Road, deteriorating the surface and posing a health risk to pedestrians, vendors, and shoppers.
On Sunday a water truck was used to wash the market, but that hasn’t remedied the problem.
