Maria Walters has been appointed as the senior vice-president of finance at Supreme Ventures Limited effective April 4.

Horace Messado has been appointed to the board of Sygnus Credit Investments Limited effective March 25.

March Performance

Cargo Handlers Limited was the best-performing stock of the month as it rose by 48 per cent to $12. Tropical Battery Company Limited, Portland JSX Limited, FosRich Company Limited, Main Event Entertainment Group Limited (MEEG), Mailpac Group Limited, Wigton Windfarm Limited, and SSL Venture Capital Limited (SSLVC) were the other best-performing stocks for the month.

Caribbean Assurance Brokers Limited was the worst-performing stock of the month as it declined by 23 per cent to $2.35. Margaritaville Turks Limited (USD shares), Radio Jamaica Limited (RJR), Sterling Investments Limited (USD shares), Caribbean Producers Jamaica, Paramount Trading Jamaica Limited, QWI Investments Limited, AMG Paper Packaging and Company Limited, and Victoria Mutual Investments Limited were the other worst declining stocks for the month.

Future Energy Source Company Limited, Tropical Battery, FosRich Company, SSLVC, Dolphin Cove Limited, MTL USD, Portland JSX Limited, MEEG, Cargo Handlers Limited, and MTL (JMD shares) were the best-performing stocks for the first quarter and year to date.

ISP Finance Services Limited, RJR, Mayberry Jamaican Equities Limited, The Limners and Bards Limited, Berger Paints Jamaica Limited, MPC Caribbean Clean Energy Limited, Ciboney Group Limited, tTech Limited, Palace Amusement (1921) Company Limited, and Seprod Limited were the worst-performing stocks for the first quarter.

Market Sales and Events

A director of Jamaica Producers Group Limited sold 1,000,000 shares at $23 to a connected party on April 13. A director of Lumber Depot Limited purchased 1,000,000 shares at $3.60 on April 7. A director of Honey Bun Limited sold 4,000,000 shares at $9.60 for a consideration of $38.40 million on April 14. A connected party of Mayberry Jamaican Equities Limited purchased 75,085,450 shares at $9.50 for a consideration of $713,311,775 from another connected party which sold 77,556,393 shares on April 13. Eppley Caribbean Property Fund Limited – Value Fund repurchased 977 shares between April 4 to 7 under its share buy-back programme. A connected party of Barita Investments Limited sold 33,738 shares between April 8 to 11. A connected party of Jetcon Investments Limited purchased 1,101,470 shares for $1 between April 6 to 7. A senior officer of Massy Holdings Limited purchased 3,520 shares on the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange on April 5. A connected party of Kingston Wharves sold 620 shares on April 6. Steven Gooden purchased 35,000,000 shares at $2.57 for a consideration of $89,950,000 from Excel Investments Inc which sold 35,495,567 between April 8 to 12.

KLE Group Limited’s 2021 audited financials have been delayed again and should be submitted by April 30. Caribbean Cream Limited’s 2022 audited financials have been delayed from April 30 to May 29 with the annual report expected to be filed by July 28.

Guardian Holdings Limited’s annual general meeting has been set for May 5 to be held in a hybrid format.

Seprod Limited has declared a dividend of $0.50 to be paid on May 6 to shareholders on record as of April 29. This payment totals $366.77 million.

Supreme Ventures Limited will be considering a dividend at its board meeting tomorrow set for 10:00 am.

The Caribbean Information and Credit Rating Services Limited has reaffirmed Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited’s and Trinidad and Tobago Unit Trust Corporation’s rating of highest or CariAAA. Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited’s rating of good or CariA has been reaffirmed as well.
