Changes to Canada visa fees
Dear Mr Brown, I read that the embassy application fees are going to be increase. Please just confirm the amount for a visa and when it is effective.

Dear ST,
The fees for permanent residence applications (economic, family, humanitarian classes and permit holder) for Canada will increase on April 30, 2022. Therefore, the fee for a visitor’s visa is unaffected and remains $100 CAD (plus $85 CAD, if applicable.)
The fee increases (in Canadian dollars) for the permanent residence applications will be as follows:
Right of Permanent Residence Fee
Principal applicant and accompanying spouse or common-law partner (from $500 to $515)
Federal High Skilled, Provincial Nominee Program and Quebec Skilled Workers, Atlantic Immigration Class and most Economic Pilots (Rural, Agri-Food)
Principal applicant (from $825 to $850)
Accompanying spouse or common-law partner (from $825 to $850)
Accompanying dependent child (from $225 to $230)
Live-in Caregiver Program and Caregivers Pilots (Home Child Provider Pilot and Home Support Worker Pilot)
Principal applicant (from $550 to $570)
Accompanying spouse or common-law partner (from $550 to $570)
Accompanying dependent child (from $150 to $155)
Business (Federal and Quebec)
Principal applicant (from $1,575 to $1,625)
Accompanying spouse or common-law partner (from $825 to $850)
Accompanying dependent child (from $225 to $230)
Family Reunification (Spouses, Partners and Children; Parents and Grandparents; and other relatives)
Sponsorship fee (remains $75)

Fees are expected to increase in two years based on the applicable Consumer Price Index. As such, the next fee increase is expected to be announced in 2024.
