No charges yet in case of fatal shooting of Ewarton businessman
The St Catherine North police are yet to lay charges against the licensed firearm holder taken into custody in relation to the fatal shooting of popular Ewarton businessman Nicholas Lyn last week.
The suspect has been in police custody since Thursday.
“The investigation continues, the licensed firearm holder is still in custody,” Senior Superintendent Howard Chambers of the S Catherine North police division told OBSERVER ONLINE.
Lyn, who owned and operated Mikey Jerk Centre along the Ewarton main road, was reportedly shot and killed by a licensed firearm holder at his business establishment at about 10:30 p.m. last Thursday.
Reports are that a dispute that started at a nearby bar ended up at Mickey’s business place. The dispute intensified and the licensed firearm holder allegedly shot Lyn in the upper body and a female worker was also shot and injured in the same incident.
Chambers said that the female worker is still hospitalised but in stable condition.
