Guinness powers Pan Di Plaza’s triumphant return

Dancehall music, eye-catching fashion, and drinks in hand all signalled the return of the long-anticipated event Pan Di Plaza at Sabina Park in Kingston on Saturday, April 23.

Party enthusiasts flocked the venue, making the most of their time outdoors at the Guinness-sponsored, high-energy event.

The evening’s festivities boasted performances from the likes of Laa Lee, Jahshii, Harry Hype, Marksman, Boom Boom, Shukkle Bus, Chromatic, and host Pretti Pretti, who kept the party pulse going all night with vibes flowing as much as the Guinness.

Pan Di Plaza promoter Adrian Wilson shared this was the 18th staging of the event, with each getting bigger and better thanks to patron’s loyalty and love for the genre. Wilson highlighted Guinness’ incredible sponsorship and promotion of events that keep the culture foremost in the hearts of Jamaicans.

Girl squad (from left) Brianne Stewart, Tiffany McDaniel, Alyssa Williams and Chelsea Taylor enjoyed every second of the high-energy entertainment event.

“The stout giants understood the assignment, which was to showcase dancehall in a positive and progressive light. It wasn’t our first time partnering with Guinness, and we were definitely excited for the opportunity to reconnect with the brand. Guinness came on board and we were able to pull off a stellar event,” he said.

“This party has been long overdue. We patiently waited until we received the go-ahead to finally stage this great event. This year patrons were definitely excited to be out partying and we are happy that we delivered on every expectation as we offered both great packages and awesome performances. For our next event we will be having a bigger venue and lots more surprise performances,” Wilson continued.

For Guinness Brand Manager Lyshon Davis, it was an easy decision to get on board with Pan Di Plaza as the brand has always been about supporting all things dancehall since its emergence on the local market.

“We know that Jamaicans are happy to have the opportunity to be out and enjoying themselves, so we wanted to amplify their experience by supporting the event by giving it the Guinness stamp of approval. Just as dancehall is authentically Jamaican, so is Guinness. Celebrating dancehall culture is at the forefront of many of our executions. We are invested in the culture while simultaneously supporting its key players. With the return of large-scale events, we will continue to sponsor and support this aspect of Brand Jamaica,” Davis concluded.
