PROMOTERS of Bonfire Dweet Fess are hailing last Saturday’s staging of the event as a success.

Held at the Ultra Beach in Portmore, the event saw performances by social media sensation-turned-recording artiste Pretti Pretti and Vanessa Bling aka Gaza Slim.

“The vibe was epic, and the patrons partied from start to finish. Even though we had a few minor glitches that weren’t visible to the public, it was a night filled with fun and vibes and it was everything that I wished for,” Krisneve Palmer, project manager for Bonfire Dweet Fess, disclosed.

He said the highlight of the event was the tribute paid to the memory of Malcolm Brown, a member of the Bonfire Dweet Fess team who was killed a few weeks before the staging of the event.

“The highlight of the event was the tribute to Malcolm and the release of the balloons. Patrons were taken away by our signature balloon release. Malcolm, who was my best friend, was shot during a robbery. If you look at the fliers promoting the event, it stated ‘in memory of Malcolm’,” shared Palmer.

Palmer said the turnout at last Saturday’s staging was much bigger than the one at the last staging, which was held last year.

“The turnout was amazing and it was indeed bigger than the last one. People from every angle turned out to support the event and to pay tribute to Malcolm.”

In-between the performances, patrons were kept busy dancing up a storm thanks to the musical mayhem created by the likes of DJ Sunshine, DJ Banka, DJ Wayne and Johnny Kool.

The next staging of Bonfire Dweet Fess is scheduled for Kingston in November.
