WATCH: Truck overturns on Spur Tree hill

MANCHESTER, Jamaica – Traffic has been reduced to single lane on a section of the Spur Tree Hill main road in Manchester after a truck overturned on Monday.

Preliminary reports from the police are that no one was seriously injured in the crash, which happened sometime in the morning.

This incident follows last Wednesday’s crash in which a man narrowly escaped serious injury after the vehicle he was driving plunged over a precipice on the accident-prone main road.

The crucial Spur Tree Hill main road links Mandeville and its environs to St Elizabeth and points west. Heavily laden, slow-moving trucks often hinder traffic on the steep, difficult hill, and there have been a number of tragic accidents involving trucks down the years.
