Better iPad multitasking
Multitasking is getting a massive boost with this year’s iPadOS update, but only iPads equipped with an M1 chip. The Stage Manager for macOS Ventura is coming to iPadOS 16, allowing apps on windows to overlap and dragged and dropped into place. The improved screen real estate (resolutions of up to 6K are supported) allows up to eight apps to be displayed simultaneously (four on the iPad and four on the external display).
Apple showed off its collaboration features directly from the share sheet in office apps like Pages, allowing other users to jump in and start making edits as users are alerted to changes to a shared file.
