Bus driver killed near police station in St James

ST JAMES, Jamaica — A bus driver who plies the Cambridge route in St James has been fatally shot just days after a taxi driver was shot and injured almost at the same location.

The deceased has been identified only as ‘Stanley’.

Preliminary reports are that the driver was getting passengers when he was shot.

The incident occurred on Fish Lane, just a few metres from the Barnett Street police station.

‘Stanley’ was rushed to hospital where he later died.

The police are still processing the scene.
