SCORCHER, the latest album by Sean Paul, makes its entry onto the Billboard Reggae Albums chart at six. This has given the Grammy-winning toaster his 10th charting album on the reggae table.

Released May 27 via Island Records, among the collaborators on the 16-track Scorcher are Stylo G, Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, reggaeton artiste Nicky Jam, Pia Mia, Gwen Stefani, Shenseea and rapper Ty Dolla $ign.

Scorcher sold 496 copies in pure album sales.

Of the 10 entries that Sean Paul has culled to date, four have topped the chart. The year 2014’s Full Frequency spent two weeks on top while 2009’s Imperial Blaze ruled for three weeks. The Trinity held it down for 41 weeks from October 15, 2005, while 2002’s multi-platinum-selling Dutty Rock spent 75 weeks at number one.

Sean Paul has two other entries on this week’s chart. The silver-certified Dutty Classics Collection is at seven while Dutty Rock slips to nine.

Also new on this week’s chart, New York city-based The Frightnrs return with their third charting title Always, which sold 1,528 in pure album sales to take the number eight spot. On the sales-driven US Current Reggae Albums chart, Always opens at number one.

This is The Frighnrs’ first Billboard entry since More To Say Versis opened at number five in November 2017. Nothing More to Say ruled for one week in September 2016.

Always also debuts at number 51 on the Billboard Top Current Album Sales chart.

Bob Marley and the Wailers continue to hold down the number one spot with Legend (126 weeks) while Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection is steady at number two.

World on Fire by Stick Figure is at three, Greatest Hits by UB40 is at four, while Set in Stone by Stick Figure is at five.

Koffee closes out the top 10 at 10 with Gifted.

Moving now to regional charts, Sweet Vibration by Empress Uneek takes over the top of the South Florida Reggae chart.

Over to the Foundation Radio Network (New York) Music chart, Mi Nuh Know by Shaggy is the new chart-topper.
