TUCKER, St James — St James club, Faulkland FC took over the lead in the Jamaica Football Federation National Tier Two competition after coming from behind to edge Portlanders FC 3-2 with a goal in time added on at Wespow Park in Tucker, St James on Wednesday, for their fifth straight win.

O’Brien Robinson scored a brace, to take his tally to 10 goals as Faulkland FC improved to 16 points, level with former leaders Chapleton Maroons who were held 0-0 by Baptist Alliance at York Oval in St Thomas.

The St James club inched to the top of the points tables on a better goal-difference of 14 to the Clarendon Club’s nine as they dropped points for the first time, ending a five games winning run of their own.

Treasure Beach are back in third place after beating Albion Mountain 2-1 to improve to 12 points while Portlanders FC and Tru Juice FC are both on nine points each.

Faulkland FC went behind via an own goal in the 20th minute but Robinson levelled the scores in the 31st minute as the teams were locked at 1-1 at half time.

The red hot Robinson who was coming off a hat-trick in his team’s win over Baptist Alliance on Sunday, gave the hosts the lead in the 56th minute but Sherlock Cummings brought Portlanders level in the 70th minute.

Santino Grinnion however ensured his team’s victory when he netted his first goal of the season three minutes into time added.

Kadeem Stone ended his three games scoreless run with a brace for Treasure Beach FC as they rebounded from Sunday’s loss to Portlanders FC with a win at home over Albion Moutain.

All three goals came in the first half as Stone scored in the ninth and 32nd minutes while Orville Mignott threw Albion Mountain a life line in the 43rd minute but neither team were able to add any more goals in the second half.

Tru Juice drew level with Portlanders on points with a come from behind 2-1 win away to Downs YC.

Romaine Samuda gave Downs YC the lead in the 38th minute with his sixth goal of the season and the hosts held the advantage until the 63rd minute when Marcelino Blackburn drew them level before Michael Hurst scored the winner in the 86th minute.

Falmouth United’s biggest win of the season, 6-2 over Hopewell United at home at Elleston Wakeland Centre, saw them jump from 10th to sixth place, just two points off a semi-final place with five games still to be played.

Patrick Shecklude scored a double for Falmouth United, matching his tally so far, to lead the team that led 2-1 at half time.

Shecklude opened the scoring as early as the second minute and Donte Green doubled the scores in the 26th minute before Shamour Smith pulled one back for Hopewell United in the 45th minute.

Shecklude completed his brace in the 47th minute as Falmouth United led 3-1 but Jamaul Palmer scored in the 58th minute for Hopewell to cut the deficit to one goal.

Falmouth United however took over the game with three more goals, Kemar Reid in the 63rd minute, Leon Irving with his fourth of the season in the 70th minute and Malik Mills in the 89th minute completed the scoring.

Lime Hall Academy scored their first win of the season, blanking Wadada United FC 2-0 at Irwin High in St James with goals from Ronaldo Hanson in the 33rd minute and Carlos Campbell in the 80th minute.
