It was an explosion of colour, music, food, and great vibes on Wednesday as Bacchanal Jamaica welcomed soca-lovers to Hope Zoo for Premium, a midweek, all-inclusive fête.

The adjusted 2022 carnival season — now in its final stretch — has been a welcomed treat for revellers who last celebrated Jamaica Carnival in April 2019. As social media intensifies excitement with sneak peeks at their Bacchanal costumes, eager revellers flocked the Sparkles Production-curated space to hear their favourite carnival tunes from DJs Travis World, Barrie Hype, Lantern MD, Matt Camps, and Marlon. And, did they deliver, even adding a bonus dancehall segment at the tail end of the event much to the delight of the crowd.

Spirits remained high throughout, thanks to glasses of Da Luca Prosecco courtesy of the Premium Bubbly Bar, iced-cold premium lager from Carib beer stand, and top-shelf offerings flowing unabated. GCG Group treated partygoers to tasty fare, while MegaMart satisfied sweet tooths with their confectionary stand.

Premium was the second in Bacchanal Jamaica’s series of carnival pre-events, with the June 25 staging of Rum For Breakfast being its first. J’Ouvert takes place at Mas Camp this evening and the grand carnival road march brings down the curtains on Sunday.
