#WorldChamps: Jamaica through to men’s 4x400m final
EUGENE, Oregon – Jamaica will join a strong line-up of nations to battle for the gold in the final of the men’s 4×400 metres relay at the Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
The sprint relay quartet of Akeem Bloomfield, Jevaughn Powell, Karayme Bartley, and Anthony Cox, powered to a season’s best time of 3:01.59 seconds to finish in the runner-up spot behind the United States (2:58.96).
At the 2019 Doha World Championships, the quartet of Akeem Bloomfield, Nathon Allen, Terry Thomas and Demish Gaye, claimed the silver medal.
The final of the men’s 4×400 metres relay will take place tomorrow, July 24, at 9:35pm Jamaica time.
