Water supply disruption in sections of Cherry Gardens today
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising customers in Cherry Gardens that some sections of the upper St Andrew community will experience a disruption in their water supply.
The NWC says this is as a result of repairs being carried out on a broken transmission line in the area.
Areas to be affected include: Carmel Close, Carmel Road, sections of Upper Carmel Close, Mark Way, Mark Way Close, Melwood Avenue, Great House Road and Great House Close.
Works are expected to conclude at about 1:00 pm on Saturday after which regular service is expected to be restored.
The NWC wishes to apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused by the service disruption.
In the meantime, the Police are advising members of the public that the NWC is currently doing construction work along the Marescaux Road through to Half Way Tree. The area is currently blocked.
Motorists are being advised to use alternative routes where possible.
