Verticast unveils subscription prices for EPL, other content; paid access starts Sep 16
Football fans across the region will as of September 16 need to pay from US$3 (J$453) a week to US$77.99 annually to view coverage of the English Premier League (EPL) via rights holder VertiCast Media Group’s CSports platforms.
The subscription packages also give access to the UEFA Nations League, 2022 FIFA World Cup and this season’s NFL, the broadcast rights for which are all held by Verticast. The prices were unveiled on the CSports Instagram page on Wednesday.
In addition to the weekly and annual packages, fans can also subscribe monthly for US$7.99.
The broadcast of the highly popular English Premier League has been a hot topic as Verticast has so far not reached a deal with either Flow or Digicel, the two largest cable providers in the region.
Verticast says that upon acquiring the rights to the EPL, it contacted regional cable companies with exactly the same terms in its negotiations which 30 other operators in the Caribbean accepted.
It said, despite multiple proposals being submitted to Flow, the two parties still could not strike a deal.
Verticast owns the rights to the English Premier League for the next three seasons.
