Getting a pension issue solved
Dear Claudienne,
I was employed by the University of Technology, Jamaica, (UTech) as a lecturer on a contract for three years (January 2019 – January 2022).
On January 11, 2022 I wrote to the human resource development manager at UTech indicating that the contract was ending soon and that I was not seeking to have it renewed.
In that e-mail I asked that the protocols be observed to have my benefits delivered to me.
The HR manager replied on January 11, 2022, acknowledging receipt of my e-mail and indicating that my request would be reviewed and actioned accordingly.
A subsequent e-mail was sent to the HR manager on January 27, 2022, regarding the non-payment of salary for January 2022, and a request for clarification regarding the separation process and the person to be contacted.
No response was received.
I wrote again to her on February 4, 2022 reminding her of the e-mail that was sent on January 27, 2022, and copied to the acting president.
I sent another e-mail on March 4, 2022 to the HR manager and which was again copied to the acting president requesting that the university advance the process to deliver up the sum representing my pension contributions to the Sagicor Pension Scheme. To date (July 26, 2022) I have not received a response.
I am seeking your assistance in this matter and please see the screenshots of the e-mail sent to UTech.

Dear SG
Tell Claudienne has been in communication with UTech and notes that they have been in contact with you and Sagicor regarding the pension payments due to you.
The column notes that UTech has finalised the matter which has enabled Sagicor to lodge a pension payment to your bank account on August 22, 2022.
We wish you all the best.
