St James wanted man nabbed in St Ann, charged with murder

ST JAMES, Jamaica — Forty-two-year-old Joshua Anderson, otherwise called ‘Josh’, of Norwood Heights, St James was arrested and charged with the murder of Christine Johnson-Vaughn, of Bogue Village, St James in her community on Monday, December 5, 2016.

Reports from the Montego Bay Police are that about 2:16 am, Johnson-Vaughn was a patron at an event when an altercation developed. Anderson subsequently pulled a firearm and shot her multiple times. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

On Sunday, August 28, 2022, during a police-led operation in St Ann, Anderson, who was named as wanted in St James, was arrested. He was charged based on statements collected from eyewitnesses.
