King Charles holds audience with Holness
Prime Minister Andrew Holness met with King Charles III at Buckingham Palace on Saturday.
He was among five prime ministers of the Commonwealth to hold audience with Charles to pay their respects to the king’s late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The other prime ministers were Justin Trudeau of Canada, Anthony Albanese of Australia, Philip Davis of the Bahamas and New Zealand’s Jacinda Ardern.
During his meeting with the king, Holness hailed the late queen, stating that she was “a wonderful person” and that Jamaicans have “deep love and respect” for her.
Holness is among the dignitaries who have arrived in London for the late queen’s funeral on Monday. Governor General Sir Patrick Allen will also attend the funeral.
