Jenny Jenny, Barnaby-Cuff named ambassadors for Americas Netball World Cup qualifier
KINGSTON, Jamaica – The local organising committee announced that media personality, Jenny Jenny, and Basilla Barnaby-Cuff, have been drafted to be ambassadors for the upcoming Americas Netball World Cup qualifier, which will be played between Sunday, October 16 and Saturday, October 22, at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston.
Jenny Jenny, who is considered to be a “live wire”, plays netball at the business house level for Radio Jamaica and is ready to get her “people” excited about the qualifier.
In addition, Barnaby-Cuff has an extensive social media following, which she will use to promote the fan engagement activities as well the 36 matches which will be played during the qualifier.
Both ladies will attend the matches and engage spectators at various stages to help them “Catch the Vibes” as per the competition tagline.
Eight of nine teams in the Americas Netball region will start arriving soon to begin their battle for the two available spots for the region in the Netball World Cup, which will be played next year in South Africa.
Jamaica, by virtue of its ranking, has already qualified but will be on the court to challenge for ranking points.
