SKIP Marley has cancelled the remainder of his ‘Change Tour’ after testing positive for COVID-19, he announced yesterday. The singer was scheduled to perform in Salt Lake City, Utah, last night and Denver, Colorado, today.

“I was feeling under the weather yesterday and unfortunately I have tested positive for COVID. To keep my tour family and my fans safe, I am very sorry to say I need to postpone the rest of the Change Tour. I’ll announce new dates as soon as we can,” read a statement from the 26-year-old artiste.

Marley kicked off the tour on September 17 in Asbury Park, New Jersey, to support his song of the same name which was released in April.

To date he has performed in Toronto, Canada; Massachusetts, New York, Washington DC, Maryland, California and Arizona. The Change Tour was scheduled to close October 25 in Burlington, Vermont.

Change is co-written and produced by Oscar Holter, a Swedish musician who has worked with a number of major acts including Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

The son of Bob Marley’s daughter Cedella and her husband David Minto, Skip Marley began recording songs in 2015. He has had considerable success on pop charts, collaborating with Perry on the 2017 international hit Chained to The Rhythm, working alongside H.E.R. on Slow Down, and collaborating also on Make me Feel which featured Rick Ross and Ari Lennox.

Higher Place, his sole EP, was released in 2020 by Island Records.
