West St Andrew Kiwanis gifts school supplies voucher to parent
Kiwanis Club of West St Andrew’s (KCWSA) President Robert Thomas (second left) recently handing over a gift voucher of $5000 to Abigail Hannah, a parent whose four-year-old son attends the St Andrew-based Red Hills Basic School.
Following a needs assessment done by the 43-year-old children service club’s Young Children Priority One Committee, the donation was granted to assist with the purchase of school supplies for Hannah’s son.The relationship with Red Hills Basic School dates back to the late 90s, with the children service group contributing to the school’s infrastructure development such as the building of bathrooms, classrooms, and the administrative section.
