PSYCHOLOGIST Dr KJ and recording artiste Prodigal Son are among the headliners for ‘Embrace the Promise’ chapters 4 and 5 gospel concerts later this month.

The first show is slated for Manning’s School in Westmoreland on October 29 while the other is scheduled for the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in St Andrew on October 30.

Both acts say they want to give back to those who continue to support their ministries. Patrons who purchase tickets to attend will get an opportunity to receive a cash reward dubbed the ease the pressure cash break which will see eight persons receiving between $10,000 to $100,000 each.

Dr KJ, the conceptualiser of the Embrace the Promise series, said the aim of the concert is to have a “glorious time in the presence of the Lord”.

“Expect the glory of God to be seen and to be felt. Come expecting a miracle, come expecting healing; God is going to be in the building,” he said during the event’s virtual launch recently.

The concert — being put on by Dr KJ in collaboration with Prodigal Son’s Radikal Yaad — will also see performances from American singers Dr Ron Kenoly and Jonathan Nelson, English gospel singer Roger Samuels, as well as local favourites Jermaine Edwards, Joan Flemmings, and Carey Sayles. Saxophonist Fred Robertson will add soothing sounds while MCs Nadine Blair and Basillia Barnaby-Cuff will keep the crowd at both shows energised from the start .

The team from Neufville Management and Communications Limited is managing the event, and manager Cheryl Neufville assures that everything has been put in place to ensure the comfort of patrons. There will be ample space for free parking, security provided, and a first class set-up at both venues.

“There is no questioning the extremely negative effects the pandemic and crime have had on our society over the last several years. This negative burden has affected lives physically and emotionally. We believe in the positive impact music has on the psyche of individuals [and] its ability to heal, to encourage, and to transform lives,” she said.
