Social media influencer and broadcaster Kareem Bwoyatingz is the new brand ambassador for Sperone Moscato.

The announcement was made more than a week ago.

According to Kareem, the association with Sperone Moscato signifies growth for his brand.

“To be partnered with Sperone Moscato, which is such a staple alcohol brand in Jamaica, it shows my impact as an individual,” he disclosed in an interview with the Jamaica Observer on Wednesday.

Kareem Bwoyatingz said he was caught by surprise when Select Brands (distributor for Sperone Moscato) reached out for a partnership.

“I honestly was in shock for about five minutes. I kept asking myself if this was real. Sperone Moscato has always been one of my go-to alcohol preferences. To be partnering with them seems so surreal,” he shared.

The partnership is for an initial three months. Kareem Bwoyatingz said he has been a fan of the brand.

“When I used to be at literally every event back then, Sperone was always in the mix in terms of my choices. There’s something about its smoothness. The alcohol percentage is not high so I can drink an entire bottle and feel just OK. Not drunk, just the right vibe. So, it was always a go to choice of mine.”

Kedish Suckram is the Select Brands’ brand manager for Sperone.

“We saw Kareem as a natural fit for the brand as he is vibrant, outgoing, loves life and is always celebrating. These are similar attributes of Sperone, so having Kareem as part of the brand lifestyle is a perfect pairing. Sperone is the go-to sparkling wine when you are having fun and it represents the celebratory moments in life. As the tagline says — ‘Life sweet, pop Sperone,'” said Suckram.

She added, “Kareem is an adorer of Sperone so it integrates seamlessly into his lifestyle, so he will continue to pop Sperone and encourage people to celebrate with Sperone too.”

Five years ago, dancehall artiste Spice signed on as Sperone’s brand ambassador. That partnership has now ended.

Said Suckram, “We have partnered with ambassadors in the past and those arrangements have ended. We will be welcoming some of Jamaica’s favourite influencers to the Sperone family, and we are very excited to welcome Kareem to the team.”
