New subscribers to Flow’s eSIM technology, including customers switching networks, will enjoy free service for the rest of the year, according to the communications and entertainment provider.

The company announced that from November 4 to 30, new and switching eSIM postpaid customers will receive the 20GB post-paid monthly plan to December 31.

It includes unlimited calling and text to any local network, unlimited social media, unlimited YouTube, 20GB of any use data and data/voice for roaming. New and switching prepaid eSIM customers will get a free 30-day Unlimited Plan (unlimited data & unlimited calls & texts to any network in Jamaica).

In addition, customers switching from another network will keep their existing phone number when they join the Flow network, the company said in a press release.

Flow first launched eSIM for iPhones in August, which was later followed by Samsung, and is the only local provider offering the mobile technology. eSIM boasts better convenience and flexibility by allowing multiple numbers (prepaid and postpaid) and multiple WhatsApp accounts on the same phone. The technology also makes it easier for visitors to the island to easily add a Flow number to their phone and provides greater security as there is no risk of losing an eSIM.

Dwight Williams, Mobile Commercial Director at Flow, said the customer response has been great since launching eSIM on August 26 and that this offer will make it easier for more customers to experience the convenience of eSIM at an unbeatable value.

An eSIM works like a conventional SIM chip but is embedded in the phone from the manufacturer.

Among the other service features are switching one’s phone number from a SIM to an eSIM, swapping eSIMs between compatible devices and shutting down the eSIM if your mobile device is lost or stolen.

Flow offers eSIM on all iPhone 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, XR models and for the Samsung Galaxy S20, S21, S22 models as well as the Galaxy Note 20.
