Students were sent scampering for cover as gunmen reportedly fired shots at a motorist in the vicinity of Alpha Primary School on South Camp Road in Kingston on Friday morning.
The incident took place at about 8 am.
Reports are that the motorist was attacked by men on a motorbike at the stoplight in front of the school.
An eyewitness told OBSERVER ONLINE that the gunmen fired several shots, hitting the vehicle.
The driver reportedly escaped unhurt.
Students that were making their way to the school compound were said to be traumatised by the incident.
