Elders Corner came from behind to easily beat Dilston All-Stars 150–138 in their Group B clash in the 2022 Winners Domino Community Christmas League at home on Wednesday.

With the win, Elders Corner are in joint second place in the group with Starz on seven points each from two games. Jamaica Fire Brigade team presently lead the group with maximum 10 points from the two rounds of matches played so far.

Knowing that the odds were against them in terms of support, the visiting Dilston All-Stars team started the match well, as all tables were firing. At one stage during the clash, the Dilston All-Stars held a 16-point lead on the home team, looking very much like the winners.

This forced Elders Corner’s captain, Homo Burton, to make a number of changes in order to spark some life in his players. The adjustments proved crucial, as Elders Corner surged to finish the first half just two points (74-76) behind Dilston All-Stars.

In the second half, Elders Corner continued to keep their scorer busy, producing multiple wins, driving the Dilston All-Stars to make a few changes to their team as well, but that did not stop the Elders Corner team’s free flow of points.

In the end it was a comfortable victory for the home team, and the large turnout helped celebrate a well-deserved victory from Elders Corner.
