Business notes — November 23, 2022

Executive and Director Changes

Nadia Kiffin Green has been appointed as the chief strategy officer for The Limners and Bards Limited (The LAB) effective October 18. Marlene McIntosh has relinquished her role as chief financial officer at The Lab effective November 30.

Brian Koscak has been appointed as an independent director to EquityLine Mortgage Investment Corporation effective November 10.

John Collins has resigned as a director of Proven Group Limited effective November 11.

Paul Hanworth has ceased being an executive director of PanJam Investment Limited effective November 11 but remains a director on the board. Philip Armstrong has been confirmed as the chief strategy officer with effect from September 22.

Neichelle Spence Lattibeaudiere has joined Kingston Properties Limited as legal officer for the group effective November 14.

Moya J Thomas has been appointed the new editor-in-chief at The Gleaner Company (Media) Limited effective December 1.

Jeffrey Hall will retire as chairman and director from the board of Scotia Group Jamaica Limited on December 9. Anya Schnoor has been appointed the new chair of the board.

Nadani Chung has been appointed the group chief financial officer for Supreme Ventures Limited effective January 1.

Market Sales & Events

The trustee of the SLJ Employee Share Purchase Plan sold 5,500 shares of Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited to eligible employees on November 2. A connected party of Mayberry Jamaican Equities Limited purchased 3,000 shares on November 4 while another connected party purchased 300 shares on November 7. A senior manager of Mayberry Investments Limited sold 1,125 shares on November 8 while a connected party purchased 296,251 shares on May 31. Nordel Leach sold 73,706 shares of Lasco Financial Services Limited at $3.50 for a consideration of $257,971 on May 31. A director and senior manager of Jamaica Broilers Group Limited purchased 1,662,248 shares for a consideration of $48.21 million on July 27. A connected party of NCB Financial Group Limited purchased 300,000 shares on November 14 and 350,000 shares on November 15 for a consideration of $55.25 million. A related entity sold 319,425 shares to a director of Supreme Ventures Limited for a consideration of $8.46 million between November 14 to 15. A connected party of Mayberry Jamaican Equities Limited purchased 8,900 shares for $12 on November 15. A connected party of PanJam Investment Limited purchased 2,000 shares on November 16. Directors of Dolla Financial Services Limited bought 20,000,000 shares at $3.50 for a consideration of $70 million on November 17. A connected party of JMMB Group Limited sold 1,821,700 shares at $36.05 for a consideration of $65.67 million on November 17.

FirstRock Real Estate Investments Limited repurchased 350,000 USD shares and 200,000 JMD shares on November 3 under its share buy-back programme. The USD shares were repurchased between US$0.078 to US$0.08 while the JMD shares were repurchased between $14.00 to $15.30.

Lasco Financial Services Limited has declared a dividend of $0.05 to be paid on December 21 to shareholders on record as of December 1. This payment totals $64.01 million.

Caribbean Flavours and Fragrances Limited has declared a dividend of $0.025 to be paid on December 9 to shareholders on record as of December 2. This payment totals $22.48 million.

Salada Foods Jamaica Limited has declared a dividend of $0.06 to be paid on December 16 to shareholders on record as of December 2. This payment totals $62.33 million.

Eppley Caribbean Property Fund Limited SCC – Value Fund has declared a dividend of BDS$0.0015 to be paid on December 16 to shareholders on record as of December 5. This payment totals BDS$204,067.45.

Spur Tree Spices Jamaica Limited will consider a dividend payment at its board meeting tomorrow.
