Fillies to decide Pick-3 Super Challenge Trophy

THE second leg in the Supreme Ventures Limited native-bred Two-Year-Old triple series of races, the Pick-3 “Super Challenge” Trophy going 7 furlongs (1,400m), takes place at Caymanas Park tomorrow (November 26).

The Restricted Stakes event has attracted a field of seven runners including Mamma Mia, winner of the first leg in the series — The Cash Pot “Only One For Me” Trophy over 6 furlongs (1,200m).

Below is the analysis of the seven runners who will enter the starting gates.

1. UNCHARTER (2 b c by Hedge Fund – Little Gidding) – The only maiden in the race, and that will not change when this one is completed.

2. MAMMA MIA (2 ch f Soul Warrior – Princess Geeta) – Unbeaten in two starts so far, including a fighting 1 ¼-length win in the Cash Pot “Only One For Me” Trophy (six furlongs) on October 29. Mamma Mia is bred to get a distance of ground and, given her potential, she can achieve her goal of winning three in a row.

3. SHE’S MYHEDGEFUND (2 ch f by Hedge Fund – Thisgirlonfire) – Released the maiden tag on November 19 over this distance in a time of 1:30.0. She’s Myhedgefund has to show marked improvement to have a shot of hitting the board.

4. AWESOME ANTHONY: (2 ch c by Soul Warrior – Antoinette) – A winner by 10 lengths on September 24 in a 5-furlong round race. Awesome Anthony has been away for a while, and will provide issues on the headlines. Seven furlongs might be just out of his reach at this time.

5. DUROCELL (2 ch f by Soul Warrior – Savanna’s Smile) – Ran an improved race to win by 8 ½ lengths in a 6-furlong event on October 22. Based on that effort, Durocell, who has also demonstrated progress at exercise, is going to play a prominent part in the outcome of this race.

6. LEGIT BOSS (2 b f by Casual Trick – Bilingual) – Seems to be well held by the distance and should be left behind.

7. THALITA (2ch f by Soul Warrior – Luminous Trieste) – Finished a disappointing fourth by 8 ¾ lengths behind stablemate Mamma Mia in the Cash Pot. Thalita is set to rebound from that effort by putting in a much better performance tomorrow. Note, Thalita races with the tongue tie on.
