Richie Feelings’ ready for ‘Mega YUSH’
SELECTOR Richie Feelings, who has more than 20 years of experience in exciting party enthusiasts, says he is raring and ready to go for tonight’s staging of ‘Mega YUSH’.
Mega YUSH is scheduled for Sabina Park in Kingston and will feature performances by American R&B singer Ashanti and hip hop star Ja Rule.
The retro party series has built a cult following over the years and consistently attracts a large turnout of patrons.
Richie Feelings, alongside DJ Kurt Riley and Coppershot, will handle the musical vibrations to keep patrons entertained.
“How I prepare for an event like YUSH, I make sure my laptop is ready and my music is ready because I have to bring my ‘A’ game,” Richie told the Jamaica Observer.
He said patrons can expect world-class juggling.
“They can look out for world class-juggling and lots of great vibes from the minute they enter the venue,” said the former Stone Love selector.
Richie Feelings was also the main selector at the popular Bembe Thursdays which was held in New Kingston in the early 2000s.
Mega YUSH has received support from corporate giant J Wray and Nephew Limited through its Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum product. The brand has consistently supported events aligned with the promotion of Jamaican music and culture.
Dominic Bell is brand PR and communications Manager at J Wray & Nephew Limited.
“It was an easy decision to partner with the YUSH team for this Mega YUSH edition as Wray rum is always keen to support high-quality entertainment events. In fact, the brand has been a proud partner of the YUSH retro party series for over five years. This continued support is part of our commitment to sustain ‘Fi Wi Culture’,” said Bell.
“We are happy to extend our support of music platforms and the elevation of Jamaica’s entertainment product, as such we are proud to join forces with the YUSH team to provide partygoers with a memorable experience as we approach the close of a milestone year for the country,” he continued.
