‘Gin N’ Juice’ marks milestone
THE 90s house party series ‘Gin N’ Juice’ will commemorate its 30th anniversary at the Cherry Garden’s Great House in St Andrew this evening.
It is scheduled to kick off at 9:00 pm and goes up to 2:00 am.
“We are elated to achieve such a significant milestone. Many relationships—even businesses—don’t last as long as 30 years so we feel quite accomplished. This is particularly true in the ever-changing entertainment industry where things get stale quickly,” Gregg Smith, one of the event’s promoters, told the Jamaica Observer.
He explained that patrons can expect the usual high-energy vibe and way less talking when they attend old-school-themed events.
“It will be straight explosive, intense party juggling from you enter the venue. We are fully powered by No Limit Liquor Service, Pure Country Juices, and DK Water so you know the bar is in good hands,” said Smith.
Tops DJs Delano the Master, Arif “Super” Cooper, and DJ Bambino will be spinning the greatest hits from the 90s.
“Our mantra is that we don’t use DJs who can play music from the 90s but rather we use DJs who played the music in the 90s—DJs who played for and partied with us as the event grew and matured. As a result, we believe that they have an innate connection with our audience,” said Smith.
He explained that 90s music will continue its dominance as golden era music and will continue to be a crowd-puller and favourite.
“The 90s is proving itself to be arguably the golden era of all genres of music, not just dancehall… That being said, Gin N’ Juice will always be pioneers and continue to lead the way by offering innovative packages, unique combination of great DJs who deliver awesome music, in top-class venues, and put it all together in such a way to take you on a journey back in time—one Saturday night at a time,” he added.
